Date Night Dinner for Two for Under $50!

Going out to eat gets expensive. Depending on the restaurant, two drinks, two entrees and tip can easily start at $60. Sometimes its nice to make a meal together. Not only is it something to do but you can easily get the meal (+ leftovers) for under $50.

Adam and I made pasta, avocado salad, chicken and a bottle of Chardonnay for under $50. The wine was probably the most expensive item ($10).

Pasta:

We cut up bell peppers and threw them in a pan with chopped pieces of sausage. We let those cook together for about 10 minutes. We boiled the pasta noodles and added the marinara sauce. Next, we mixed in the sausage and bell peppers. Voila! (We also had leftovers for two days...)

Salad:

Cut up cherry tomatoes, avocado and mozzarella balls. Throw them in a bowl and drizzle with a balsamic reduction. (I had this already, but usually costs $8)

Chicken:

We bought a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store deli and served with the pasta and salad!

Wine:

We had a few glasses each of the Decoy Chardonnay, YUM! Highly recommend.

Not only is this meal for two affordable but you end up getting twice as much than if you were to go out to eat.

Top off with a good movie and you’ll be happy you stayed in on a Saturday night!! Cheers.

xo,
